Most chocolate bars in India have between 15 and 25 ingredients. Many of the ones labelled "sugar-free" or "healthy" swap refined sugar for maltitol, erythritol, or stevia — ingredients that still spike insulin, cause bloating, or leave an aftertaste your kids immediately notice. We decided to do something simpler: use a fruit instead.

Dates are nature's caramel. They're low glycemic (GI 42 vs refined sugar's 65), they come with fibre intact, and they've been sweetening food for over 6,000 years. Your body knows exactly how to process them. No chemistry degree required.
